Evidence for evolution is what allows scientists to state with complete certainty that all organisms are related and, that they evolved through natural selection. in other words, that populations change over time through descent with modification.
Note that this very similar to what Darwin said in his own evolutionary concept. However, even Darwin in all his brilliance had gaps in his theory, an example being the origin of flowering plants. It is only through evidence for evolution or in this case the fossil record, that can help explain flowering plants. |
